Little Touches

While many of us will never be lucky enough to own property in Costa del Sol, there are little touches that we can make around our home to give it more of a holiday atmosphere, reminiscent of long and lazy holidays instead of the rain that we are more used to.

Small decorations around the house can make a world of difference. If you have a patio or decking, why not consider putting out small lights, Moroccan lanterns and coloured scatter cushions to give it a really unique and exotic look?

It is relatively easy and not very expensive to buy things in a different style such as Moroccan, Spanish or French accessories for the home, and a few carefully placed trinkets can really brighten up your home.

Cushions are a great way of bringing atmosphere and colour to the room – and they can be easily changed if you get fed up with them, so consider buying some Middle Eastern patterned cushions to place around the lounge for some extra atmosphere.

Candles also liven up any lounge, and again this can be done on the cheap. One idea is to place lots of tea lights into small glass jars such as Moroccan glasses, or one off glasses bought from the local second hand shop. Give it a go, it is easier than you think!
